Being Human

Dharmatalks from Karl Riedl – Retreat with the Italian Sangha, July 2025

When we say that someone is “a true human being” , we experience him as a person of integrity, honesty, benevolence, and respect. Through the ability of consciousness, we can create a space in which „non-ego-centered“ human mental attitudes, such as love, patience, tolerance, a sense of responsibility, etc., can unfold.

During these days, we discover within ourselves the attitudes associated with a “certain interest in others” and, through the practice of awareness and meditation, strengthen them so that we can bring them into our daily lives.
